Happy, Hefty Holidays! [Dec. 24th, 2008|03:30 pm]
Well, despite a good effort, I'm still not at 300...yet. After that Thanksgiving boost to over 290, I've been hovering mostly in the upper 280's. But Christmas is upon us, and I'm off of work for the next week and a half, so I'm going to do all I can to push to 300.

Wish me luck!

Update [Dec. 5th, 2008|11:02 pm]
I guess it's time for a semi-annual update. I've never gotten into the habit of posting here regularly, though I'm not sure why. But since this is essentially my gaining journal, if there's not much gaining going on, there's not much to report, I suppose.

That, however, has changed recently, as my gaining urge has gone into overdrive since Thanksgiving, appropriately enough! But over the last 10 days or so, I've been eating like mad and enjoying the regular feeling of being very bloated.

And the results are already showing up! Before Thanksgiving, my weight was hovering in the mid-270s. You probably know how it goes: one day you're up a couple of pounds, but the next week you're down. I hit the magic 3-0-0 in January, but that didn't last too long, and by late Spring/Summer, I was as low as 268 or so.

Now, I wasn't thrilled by it, but I looked on the bright side: my clothes fit better, I had more energy, and I still was nearly 100 lbs heavier than when I took the plunge and started gaining.

And since the Summer, I had managed to gain back about 10 more lbs, give or take. Until last week...

Conveniently timed to coincide with the start of the holiday season, my appetite roared into town. And I have given in to that desire in a big way, with very satisfying results. When I got on the scale this evening, it registered 294. Yep, 294!!

So those fat cells that had ballooned to get me to 300 earlier this year were just lying in wait for me to stuff them full again. And stuffed they have been.

Among my latest indulgences has been a nightly consumption of a half an apple pie. I know, it should be a WHOLE pie, but hey, I managed a half a pie for each of the last three nights, and I'm stocked up for the weekend!

And, of course, that's not my only indulgence. I managed to eat big breakfasts every day and to eat double lunches 4 out of 5 days this week, plus snacks and big dinners.

Let's hope this keeps up 'til 300 appears again on the scale!! I'll try to keep updating more regularly...

Ship-board gaining [Jun. 7th, 2008|07:04 pm]
I know it's been a long time since I posted here, so I figured I should do more than a basic update.

So, here's a story inspired by a real experience I had. Earlier this year, I went on a 10-day cruise and came home 10 pounds heavier, finally reaching that magic 300-lb mark. Unfortunately, I lost 20 since then, but have recently worked back up to 288, so a return to 300 should come soon, I hope.

I also hope you like this tale of growing at sea...

Now for the storyCollapse )

I guess the holidays are starting to have their desired effect. I weighed in at 289 today, the most ever. Let's hope it keeps going up!

update [Nov. 9th, 2006|12:10 am]
[Current Mood |fullfull]

Well, I didn't reach 290 this summer, but that's because the scale I was using wasn't accurate (damn!), so I wasn't as close as I thought...actually, it was 10 lbs less :(

But the good news is that on the new (correct!) scale, I'm up to 285, so I really am closer to 290 than ever before. With any luck (and a lot of gut stuffing), I'll be over 290 and beyond by Thanksgiving. All encouraging comments welcome!

Spent the evening eating and eating...feels so good to be so stuffed.

New pants [Jun. 10th, 2006|05:03 pm]
It was inevitable. I had to buy bigger pants. Not long ago, I was wearing 42's. Then I upgraded to 44's. Today I went out and got 6 pairs of 46's! They're a little roomy, but my recent rate of gaining suggests that I'll fill them out pretty soon.

I preceeded this purchase by having lunch at a Chinese buffet, so I was good and full as I tried on the 46's. I shopped at a Burlington Coat Factory, which has a decent selection of larger sizes. Certainly better than most general retailers. And it's good to know that they routinely carry up to waist size 50 or larger, and plenty of 4X and 5X shirts. (I'm still a 2X, although some of my older ones that have shrunk a little are getting delightfully snug!) And I have to say it's an incredible feeling to have to shop in the Fat Man's section.

Round & round [Jun. 6th, 2006|10:43 pm]
[Current Mood |bouncybouncy]

Every new pound must be going straight to my belly (yeah!) because tonight I stopped at Taco Bell for a bit of a snack and when I sat down at one of their tables (with the fixed seat that pivots), by gut was completely smushed into the edge of the table.

I've gotten used to sitting in such a seat, or in a restaurant booth, and having my belly touch the table, but this was a lot more than touching. This was pressing into it...hard and wide. I had to twist a little to the side to accommodate this growing belly. What a feeling!

When I got home, I pulled out the tape measure to check on the circumference: 53" standing, 54-1/2" sitting. Immense. Huge. Wonderful. Wow.

And under my belly, my waist is now 46". Small problem...I just upgraded from 42" pants to 44's. Is it already time for 46's? That begins to get a bit costly. Ah, the price of being a true chub.

I think I'll go eat something...

Can it be? [Jun. 5th, 2006|11:22 pm]
[Current Mood |ecstaticecstatic]

Ok, I know I'm eating a lot more than usual in my 2-week effort to pack on 10 lbs, but can it be I'm already up 6 lbs? I stepped on the scale a couple of minutes ago, and it went up to 286!! That's my all-time high, and an unbelievable 6 lbs more than I weighed only 5 days ago.

At this rate, I could be close to 300 by the time I see my boyfriend at the end of next week. And that thought has inspired me to suck down an entire tub of Kozy Shack chocolate pudding as I write this!!

And now I'm stuffed...and feeling fabulously fat!!
